My graphic calculator keeps saying cos(60) is -0.952... when I thought it was 1/2???

I recently got a new calculator for A level fmaths and i keep getting the wrong answers for trig values. How can i fix this?
either you need to get out of radians or get into radians
it's probably in radians mode

change rad -> deg

you currently have cos(60 radians)

Cos(60) (degrees) is 1/2. Cos(60) (radians) is -0.952. Need to change the setup of your calculator so it's using degrees rather than radians
