Mechanics question

image.jpgWhy am I getting the acceleration as 2? Someone help I don't understand I did (a=v-u/t) which was 2
You mean for question 5? I got 0.1389 and 0.0694
which part did you get 2ms-2 on?

5 yeah, that was the acceleration that I tried to attempt- how'd you get your answers?
First convert 30kmh-1 to ms-1 (multiply by 1000 and divide by 3600) = 8.33
then a = (v - u)/t = (8.333-0)/60 = 0.1389 ms-1
@the bear I believe your services are required :colone:

ahh thank you so much, how about the final acceleration
rearrange = + 2as to a = (v²-u²)/2s = (0 - 8.33²)/2x500 = 0.0694ms-2
