Yeah, tiz a great college Don't be scared - it's popular with applicants but all that means is you need to smash the competition Like the year I was interviewed (2006), there were around 39 applicants for 3 places for music (if we discount the organ scholar place and applicants). About 22 were interviewed for non-organ scholar places. I was up against people who studied with famous composers already, were at the junior music conservatoires or specialist music secondary schools, AND I was up against a guy who won BBC Young Musician of the Year AND BBC Young Composer of the Year in the same year. So the competition was mental. There were lots of very well-read, well-spoken girls there too.

I was the only girl chosen and they didn't choose the BBC Young Musician/Young Composer guy, so technically I absolutely smashed that competition! Just by being little old me

wow congrats!Yeah mine is more a shot in the dark :/ it's not likely that I'll get the grades but my profile is strong academically
I just wanted to try and if I get the grades, Worcester is where I'd like to go

Well I thought I'd never get into Oxford, let alone the most competitive college for that academic cycle Trying is good. You never know what might happen! And there's no harm in trying
