Flatmate heard me having sex? What should I do

do whatever you want, tbh if you live in halls you're gonna hear someone have sex, that's just how it is... the walls are always paper thin and the beds are often crap and creak a lot - it's polite to put on some music and not to subject your flatmates to listening to you scream or forcing them to hear your fetishes or something but other than that it's just a fact of life, you stick your ear plugs in and carry on

I'm not quite sure why prior warning a man was coming round would help... is she going to sleep somewhere else? I doubt she's wandering around in revealing clothes when men aren't there or something... but either way asking for notification of when you have sex is unreasonable and weird

3 different guys?

No just the same guy. Only had him round 3 times as She always complains when we have people over

@daniellee0 maybe try tightening the screws? I read that might work. By your landlord do you mean the halls team btw? If you ask they should fix stuff just keep bugging them lol.

Would be EXTREMELY surprised, if Ops flatmates "religious beliefs" had nothing to do with this.

She obviously has a phone. So why can't she give it to her flatmates so they let her know when a guy's coming round (even just a male friend which is common! Are they meant to knock on her door every time a male friend is round)? It's bc shes difficult thats why.

She probably also objects to the OP putting bacon in the fridge.
You should tell her to move out and go and live with other Muslim females if she has such a problem with it. FFS.
ask her to join in next time so she's not left out, lonely and feeling awkward

You guys need to be assertive no offence but that is really her problem I agree with @markova21 . I actually had Muslim friends at uni and they had no problems with people socialising.
In my second year my flatmate next door was moaning so loud and banging against the other side of the wall next to my bed at 4am in the morning... The next week there was constant banging from the floor above at a similar time.. I heard rumours from another flatmate that their was orgy going on up there.

So yes...it can certainly be disruptive. The level of noise and the time it takes place are clear factors and you have to be considerate of others. If you're doing it at a reasonable time and you're not making that much noise then just give her the odd hello and wink

You don't need to do anything.

At best you can tell her that you will knock on her door three times before having sex, so if it bothers her that much she can go out for a bit. Sex is normal, she has no right to make you feel uncomfortable for it just because she is uncomfortable with it.

Are u tho  Just wanna know whether I'm gonna have to shut all my windows when we do this three-way thingy.
Next time when you have sex, be sure to shout her name very loudly as you are orgasming. That'll keep her quiet.

I could understand more if it was a reoccurring thing st ridiculous times of day and if we were very loud! But the odd occasion I don't see the issue! I think all our flat mates have heard each other have sex but we don't go crying about it

Unfortunately it's because of her religious beliefs and also some religious people are more conservative than others and they might not try to convert you but they are going to disapprove and be difficult if u do something that THEY dont like.

I had a Muslim flatmate who was the chillest guy, but my friend was in halls with a bunch of Christian postgrad students because she applied late and went into private halls. She ended up having to move because they got offended, when she didn't go to Christian Union events they invited her to and gossiped about her making up that she was weird.
