I received an interview invitation without even getting an acknowledgment email, loads of people haven't got acknowledgement emails this year so I don't think many departments send them :smile:

I have sent my UCAS application on September 29th, and have yet to receive anything from Manchester.

Although, I think many people have to keep in mind that the University of Manchester is essentially the second largest University in the United Kingdom by enrolment. Thousands apply every single year for a limited amount of seats.

I would expect that they have a larger volume of applicants per year than most other Universities, and for that reason they might be slower in terms of the acknowledgment emails and such. By examining other members' posts in 2014/2015, the majority of the Law applicants received offers by Mid-Novemeber or early December.

That should give everyone applying to the Arts programs some indication as to when they should expect a response, but I assume this will largely vary on the strength of one's application.
