I'm wondering if someone could verify if what I have done already is correct, I just feel I have missed something as it seems too short. Also would I just do the same for (b)?

Your answer to the first part looks OK to me. Perhaps expaining why xTIqx≥0x^{T}I_{q}x \ge 0 would be in order to extract maximum marks!

For the second part, take q=1 and think of some examples.
