Hey, I firmed Canterbury Christchurch for Primary Education... as far as I know accomidation is open yet, should be soon though so just keep on checking the sight. Where are you waiting for a reply from?

Oh okay! Thanks, what halls are you looking at? I'm still awaiting Winchester - I have my interview Wednesday, but I think CCC will still be top choice. Are you specialising for Primary Ed or not?

Hello, I'm 24 so you wont be the oldest there. I'm going to study OT too. I looked at the accomodation website and it said we couldn't apply till april. I'm looking at the student village as I'm not sure i realy want to go into halls as such. How many other people are doing OT?

Awesome  yeah i was looking today and it says "mid April" so i hope we get an e-mail or something to tell us when to apply! I was also looking at Parham Road Student Village, apparently health students can't stay in Lanfranc (Which i liked) so i'm guessing that includes OT's?

Has anyone heard anything about Childrens Nursing yet? I had my interview last week so I'm being impatient I know but it's my first choice and I want to know! x

My course is just a Primary Education, Upper years (5-11) course so I haven't chosen a subject to specialise in. Yeahhh the Topshop was quite big which was pleasing:P. I have some friends that go to Canterbury Christchurch/ Kent Uni and they say its alright, I think it is more a pubby place but to be honest it university so I am sure we will find thigns to do:P

Accepted a conditional for art and education combined
Probably going for Parham Road 1st choice, and Pin Hill 2nd choice

It's better that way, so that we can enjoy our holiday in peace. It seems like they interviewed 128 people altogether because they started on 15th Feb and they interviewed probably 16 people every week. We all have 1 in 4 chances. We were 4 in my group, so they will take the best candidate. Hoping it'll be me.lol

To be honest the waiting is killing. Anyone already got offer from another Uni.
Goodluck to everyone?
Forensic Computing for me

I have a conditional offer to study French with Fine & Applied Arts at CCCU  I'm thinking of choosing it as my firm choice, but going on a self-guided tour next week so hopefully that should help me make my decision!

Can anyone recommend any accommodation to stay in, for the first year? I know a girl who's in a house at Lanfranc, but she also said Parham is good...I obviously won't be able to look inside any houses/flats when I go on a self-guided visit and would really like to know what the accom's like!

Also - are shared bathrooms really as bad as people make out?

Thanks for any replies

Anyone know what the deal is with applying for accommodation? It still just says "look for a link during mid-April"? Do you think they will send out an e-mail or are they just expecting us to keep checking?

Has anyone visited the accommodation yet? I'm still not certain which one I want to go for but I haven't had a chance to see any as I couldn't get to the open day. I've heard good things about Lanfranc and the student village? Do we know if the new place they're building will be ready?

I can't really comment on accommodation since I'm in the same boat myself! Personally I want to be as close to campus as possible, it seems to make life so much easier!

As for bathrooms, I think it depends on the kinds of people you're sharing with and how many people there are to one bathroom! If you live with people who are reasonably tidy and you have cleaners, I think it's fine. Given the choice though, I'd like to opt for an en-suite. It's one less thing to worry about if you're in a rush and you don't have to wait for the bathroom. It's just whether or not I can afford it. (I still don't know how much student loan I'm getting this year.)

Hope this is helpful.
