Just had a quick look on Wikipedia for Las Fallas, Jelly, and it sounds like a more jolly version of Guy Faulkes!

Flo, failing sucks (I should know, I failed 5+ times), but just re-book your test straight away and don't let yourself get too demotivated. :hugs:

I've taken up swimming! Ridiculously lucky in that my grandparents have an indoor swimming pool (obviously not Olympic sized!) that's literally a minute's walk away from my house, so I did 45 minutes yesterday and today. Been eating healthily, and weigh-in day is Monday, so if I haven't lost any weight I'm gonna cry!
[QUOTE='Flo[ProActiv];36814548']Double post, but..

Failed :frown: Got serious fault within about 5 minutes for stalling 5+ times at a junction >_< I panicked completely, my leg just would stop shaking.

My mum lives by the theory that all the best drivers pass second time.
At least you have an idea of what is coming now! :hugs:
Thanks guys  I'm mainly over it now - spent a couple of hours moping and feeling sorry for myself this afternoon. I'm just not used to failing things  Just would have been nice to have the boy/my mum here to give me a cuddle.

When I think about it, I know very few people who passed first time anyway. They boy is a weird freak exception  (and he was inevitably going to pass first time - he'd driven pretty much every day for the 3 months leading up to his test, cause he drove him and his mum to work)

Going to go into town tomorrow and get some money so I can rebook my test. My instructor has told me to book it for the end of the week I get back (so the very end of April), so I can fit in a couple of lessons before hand, just to get back into the swing of things. The earliest open slots are around the 10th April, so that shouldn't be a problem. Just wish my parents had a car so I could practice over the break!

*yawn* I think it's bed time soon. Stress means I've not slept properly for the last 4/5 days, so I'm hoping I can manage a good night's sleep tonight.
Sorry to hear that Flo, hopefully your next test experience will be much better though, now that you know what to expect etc.

I'm hoping to start driving as soon as the PGCE course finishes really. As I've said before, it's a big regret that I didn't do it when I was about 18.

Went to visit my old school and the class I used to be a TA with today. Loved seeing them, and the staff), but then came away from it feeling quite sad. Think it's just jealousy to be honest, I just wanna work there. I forgot how lovely it was, and how sweet the kids were. Was such a shock to walk back into their classroom, it was so small, and only had about 20 children. Was quite surprised at how similar they looked compared to when I left them at the end of Year 2, they were still so small and cute.
I regret not getting driving out of the way. I probably won't bother now. Couldn't start until I was 19 because of health stuff which was annoying and then I was rubbish for years. Finally got quite good but after years of trying to do it and wasting loads of money on lessons I can't afford it anymore so think I will abandon for good. There is such a stigma if your in your 20s and can't drive but it is so expensive and I don't need a car.
I'm missing Si so much. I haven't missed him this much since he was away at sea :frown: it's been over three weeks since I saw him and we still have another two to go, he's miserable because I'm home and he's still at college with exams to do before he comes back here, he's been miserable in general lately anyway because of missing me and his family, I'm stressed because of uni work... etc. I usually cope well with the distance but I'm seriously upset about it lately. It's getting so unbelievably ****ing frustrating. I don't even know what I'm trying to say, as it's not like there's anything I can do about it, but yeah. I'd give so much to be able to see him more, and/or to have an end date for our LDR

:hugs: Don't worry about it, I failed my test about 4 or 5 times before I finally passed! :ninja: I honestly think the extra practice just makes you a better driver in the long run and it's easy to let your nerves get the best of you :hugs:

So I have a question, can kidney infections go away on their own or do you have to get antibiotics?xx

If it is a kidney infection then you would be sensible to get antibiotics. If it is cystitis then you might find it clears up on its own but antibiotics will help if it is more severe.

If you are worried about having to find time to get to the doctors given your busy job, perhaps try to get to find a walk in centre after work or a doctor near to your office?

Give them a call and get it sorted. I'm sure London still has some walk in centres so there must be one you could get to even if it means asking to leave the office an hour earlier than normal.

Does your doctors do late night appointments at all? I chose mine because it has appointments until 8 at least once a week meaning that even though I work until 6 I can still get to a doctor.

Not sure whereabouts you are in London, but there's a walk-in centre in Soho

Morning guys

Need to get my butt in gear, and get dressed to go for a run. Have been lounging around in my PJs for nearly and hour
Hey guys! I'm not sure sure what to do on this one, but i think the boys upset with me or something! He keeps saying I seem really distant and whatever else or thinking I'm mad at him when i'm not (the reason ive not replied usually is cos i'm out) He said I seemed really distant on skype last night but I thought we'd had a really nice chat! And to make things worse, he keeps dreaming that I've cheated on him and then I laugh in his face about it :s-smilie: which then makes me feel bad even though ive not done anything! Starting to fear that he's projecting the fears and worrys he had in his last relationship onto me because of the distance! All I want to do is go give him a big cuddle and tell him it's ok!! I don't really know what to do

Happy Birthday Katie!! Hope you have a fab day

Trish - that cake looks amazing!

Bee - I'd go get it checked out if at all possible just to be safe!

I'm back on co-amoxiclav - second ear infection in six months. Gone pretty much deaf in both ears, too. Just want a hug off the boy, but I'm not seeing him 'til Tuesday. Hopefully being referred to an ear specialist, though, because of the frequency of my problems.
Just discovered that the boy has left me a lovely present from when he was here at the weekend...

...a used sock

Hah!

I got three pairs of socks back last weekend from all the times the boy has found a miscellaneous straggler when I've gone home. :colondollar:
