Lots of people get fired, lots of people fail at interview (my ex had literally dozens of interviews when he finished at Cambridge before he was offered a job), lots of people don't get into their first choice of uni (I didn't but I'm actually glad I didn't - I love the uni I'm at instead).

You need to stop focusing on the disappointments you've had and focus on the good things in your life which I promise you there will be. You also need to go and speak to someone about this. Seriously.

Getting into uni is overrated, there is more than one at which you can be happy, atleast there should be if you've done your research properly and applied to the right ones.

Millions of people have lost their jobs over the last year, you don't have to fail to be redundant.

My dad has been applying to jobs, going to interviews...some of them for the perfect job for him, and hasn't got in.

He also lost both of his parents and his wife in about 3 years.

He's still going.

Bad things happen, sometimes alot of them at once. To use a phrase that I hate, man up. There is life after the epic fail.

No i have depression and have done for 5 years nearly and i slit and all that junk so i would do it... i've been called 'strong' and 'determined' by people but i'm not either of them...

this is a bit different from the usual posts youre going to get -see a counsellor, grow up etcetc
but i applied for medicine at uni last year and ive wanted to do it for ages, and then i didnt work for my alevls and didnt get in. My fifth choice was optometry in london which i got an offer for but i also go an offer for molecular med from one of the unis i applied for medicine to. I felt like such a failure for ages and in the end i took the molecular med option

and now, 6 or so months on im so happy i did. i dont think i could have picked a better course/uni for myself and im the happiest ive been in ages. and i realised i didnt actually want to do medicine, it was just a childhood 'i want to be an astronaut' type thing. i didnt actually think about it so im really glad i didnt get into that too

so basically just take what life gives and make the most of it because you never knoe, you might actually love it

Apart from the "go to therapy" balls that's allready been said, I'd say this was the best piece of advice I could give you if you're dead set on dying. Could always do some volunteer work as well.

Yes there are. My mother suffers from severe depression and on occasions in the past has decided to take herself off her medication. During those times she has decided that there is nothing good in her life, that she has nothing to live for etc when in fact she has everything to live for. I've seen this kind of mentality first hand and I KNOW it's not true to say there's nothing good in your life. It may be the way you see it, but it's not real.
