Name: Lei (preferred nickname ;p) Course: Computer Systems and Software Engineering with Industry Conditions of entry: AAB Including Mathematics Favoured college/accommodation: Alcuin probably, i'd like an ensuite if i can get one. Miscellaneous shizzle: Gosh i'm so excited. Yet horribly terrified. I think i'll be declining all of my other offers so if i don't get AAB i'll just reapply to York next year. My school won't like that though. :x

And welcome indeed.
Thanks
I know, since i got the offer i've had a serious case of fidget-bum-ness. 6ish months (or 18 if i miss my offer) of that will be fun. Ah well, plently of time to learn all this math i seem to have.

Ah, fresh meat
Well, here's my story: I started uni in October. I love York to pieces: Beautiful city, great uni, friendly people, lovely accommodation (Derwent forever! )... To cut a long and complicated story short: I struggled as there is stuff going on at home and I'm not in a position to study at the moment. So I'm taking Leave of Absence and I hope to start over in October. It's going to be weird going back but I really want to. I have the advantage of being able to learn from my mistakes (and let me tell you, there are many) and I'm going to see starting over as an opportunity to make the most of the opportunities available at uni (and there are lots!). So, yeah, can I join the York firmers thread? Even though I already have a place guaranteed? I'm happy to answer any questions.
