Most people here, when they say English mean English and Related Literature. People doing English Linguistics in the Linguistics & Language Science department refer to it as "Linguistics" (they do most of the same modules as French & Linguistics, etc).

There's pretty much a lack of everything apart from PPE-ists - and that's probably because PPE-ists are most likely to have come on here seeking advice about application to Oxford/only heard of PPE through here.
