Still in process of completing my UCAS, and im trying to get it finished as sooooon as possible. Just wondering whether anyone has had a reply from any colleges, especially LCF- I heard the sooner you send it the better chance you have of getting an offer because they start choosing now.

I know Sheffield Uni and some others that have sent people offers, so I'm kind of panicking to make sending mine a top priority for now so theres a better chance for me to get on to the Fashion Journalism course!

...Any replies yet, anyone?

I'm sending mine away on Thursday! I didn't realise they've started choosing already! Aaahhh, that's scaryyy!!

Yeah I know! I sent mine last week...no replies yet from any unis, though its still only been a week i guess. Im not sure if they are choosing already, it differs from each uni, but i know other universities are starting to reply and give conditional offers to people etc. I really want to go LCF. What UAL college and course you applied to?

I applied for fashion styling and photography at limegrove!
I was at the open day last week and they said they got 300 applicants last year for a 26 person course!! ahh, i don't think i have much of a chance!!
But I'm applying for another university - UCCA too, just outside london which i hope I have an easier chance!!

I know how you feel! i went to the open day for Fashion Journalism a couple weeks ago and they said they recieved 600+ applications for only 34 places But i appled to UCCA Epsom aswell for fashion journalism. My other choices were:
Fashion Media and writing at Northbrooke college
Journalism at City University
Fashion Marketing and Journalism at London Met

UCCA would be my 2nd choice.

They were saying at the open day that for Fashion Journalism they reply to 200 out of the 600 applicants, call them back to do a writen test amnd based on how people write, the interview the last 80-100 or so people for a class of 30+ people.
Seems like my chances are 1/1000.

I guess there's still hope.

Do you have to make up a Portfolio then?

They quoted those same 'statistics' for the FdA Fashion Marketing & Promotion open day, except it was 350 applicants..the stats don't mean a lot. I think many very underqualified people apply to the place solely because it's so well-known.

Yeah, that's the place I'm applying to, Epsom - fashion promotion and imaging!
I'm actually putting it down as my first choice, as I don't know if I would have a chance for LCF, I don't do photography really, and its like half the course :p

Yeah, I'm working on my portfolio now, its stressful!!!

I sent it off 2 weeks ago, but it only left my school two days ago, so I haven't even received my welcome letter yet from UCAS.

Yeah maybe... well i dont reallly know if anyone has had a reply from UCA or LCF as far as I know- thats whay i started this thread though lol. But I'm guessing they may be waiting till Jan 15th when all the applications are in to decide?

Oh i got a letter, but nothing really important: it was from Northbrooke just saying they have my appilcation- but thats my last choice.

Well let me know when you hear from anyone, especially LCF or UCA!

It'd be great to know if anyone gets any news from UCA or LCF.

I'm fairly sure that applications for all courses have equal consideration before the January deadline. Though it does worry me when people tell me they've got unconditional offers from certain unis who are gradually 'filling up' their places before I've even handed my form in.

I'm sending off my ucas in a few days and applying to both LCF's and UCA's fashion management and some other ones too. but i heard for these types of courses we wont hear a reply till late jan/early feb?

hiya im applying to lcf to do photography and styling and epsom for promotion and imaging

when i went to a lcf open day in summer they said that they dont decided who to interveiw until they have all the applicantions so they can make a fair choice, unfortunalty i missed the lcf styling and photography open day due to booking the wrong train tickets
im finding it really hard to write my personal statement though as the lcf course is so secific compared to others
