Even if you get all As and got low scores in your Bmat then most unis dn't give you a place.

BMAT Universities tend to weight it quite considerably, due to the fact the majority of applicants at Cambridge/Oxford/Imperial/UCL are very similar in every other respect.

....but they're not the only universities.

So far all you've proven that because you didn't do well on a test *some* universities to use to judge their prospective students, you were 'denied' a chance to study medicine. Wasn't that the point of the test, for universities to sort between many similar applicants? Calling foul after agreeing to play the game isn't really news. Nobody plays the roulette of medicine applications without agreeing to the rules of the game really.

Also, you could have applied to some non BMAT unis. Medicine is medicine after all, wherever in the UK.

i think the title of this thread is misleading and the purpose of this thread is equally pointless.
Yes we all know that prestige unis give you a very good education and reputation and that's what all the hard work pays off for but to make a thread about it and moan doesn't help anyone.

If you applied to 4 BMAT uni's you missed your chance THIS year out of your own stupidity. Chill have a gap year and reapply to a mix of unis next year.

Medicine is medicine no matter where it is.

You really need to be stronger than this. So what if you found the BMAT hard? A lot of people did. You shouldn't be depressed over something that already happened, don't cry over spilt milk. The BMAT isn't meant to be an easy test, it is designed to trick you. I don't mean to be mean but you really need to stop being down about everything. You really need to get over it and quick. There are going to be harder times ahead throughout your medical career, I hope you learn to take setbacks with grace and don't let everything get you down. I'm only trying to help you...I've been there.
