Thyme could help cure acne!

http://uk.health.lifestyle.yahoo.net/thyme-could-be-an-effective-treatment-for-acne.htm

Just seen this, there at lots of different articles out there on this.

What do you guys think?

As a long term sufferer of acne, and someone who has tried everything to get rid of it (even to the point of going on prescribed medication) I'm going out as soon as I can to get some Thyme Tincture to see if it really works!

Thanks for this! But I have actually tried the regime.

It worked at first, and has majorly helped with my acne problems, but I became allergic to the benzoyl peroxide after a while.

That's why I was hoping thyme would be good for my allergy prone skin!

Oh no, that sucks! Hope it doesn't happen to me :s-smilie:

Hopefully not!

But don't worry, I become allergic even to some of the drugstore products after a while.

One day, I'm putting on my clearsil spot cream, that goes on individual spots, the whole 'gone in 4 hours' stuff. And I wake up the next morning with red marks all over my face.

I just have skin that hates me

I saw this research too and bought a bottle of Thyme tincture from woodlandherbs online. I've been applying it mixed with witch hazel everynight before bed. It's only been four days since I started so it's too soon to make any judgement on it's effectiveness.
I'll maybe update after a week or two to say if it's done anything substantial.

Thanks! That'll be good to hear about! I hope it works for you. I've started on some No.7 beautiful skin products and it's going well so far.

But i'd love to know how the thyme works for you!

Have you tried tea tree oil? It works better for me than Benzoyl Peroxide ever did.

I thought thyme was that prickly green herb you put in sauces... Wouldn't it just hurt more? I may get someone to try it now lol.

Unfortunatley, I doubt there will ever be an actual cure to rid everyone completley of acne. :frown:

It would be nice though.

Sorry, I should have said thyme tincture. It's like thyme but in a liquid form, used for various different health reasons.
