I've been accepted for Modern History & International Relations. I like St Andrews because I want to try living abroad (I'm from the US) and I love the traditions. I have no problem with small schools/towns because I go to a 300ish student boarding school in the middle of a forest in New England. I do find it a little stifling, but I'm used to it. The thing that worries me is St Andrews being too small to find other university students who, like me, are not so into the 'drunken debauchery' thing. I'm cool with some extent of drinking and, yay, I'll finally be legal, but I'd rather just hang out with co- moderately geeky, perpetually sober friends. Would I be able to find my people there?
Yes. I admit it. I'm geeky. Don't judge me. Just let it happen.
