Post a photo of your School/your dream School

I'm currently feeling really nostalgic about my school days (I soo wish I was back there) :bawling: So I thought I'd start a thread where people could post photos of their schools and reminisce about their childhoods. I really loved my school and was very lucky that my dream school and my actual school were pretty much one and the same.

So here it is:

My old school, don't be fooled by the looks as I was. It was a disgrace of a school.

What school is it?
Dream School:

Edit: Not that I'm a huge HP fan, it's just a beast of a building. Huge grounds, an interesting mix of teaching staff and, above all, boss school dinners.

I was wondering how long it'd be until somebody posted that.

You know the inspiration for the design of Hogwarts was based on a real school called Fettes College:

Was never going to be long, but let's face it, it's a strong contender for best fantasy school.

And no, I didn't.

Judging by all the sports facilities, I'm guessing it's a specialist sports school?

Only school with a 50 meter pool in the country.

I used to live in Singapore, like 10 schools all had a 50 meter pool.

One school even had two.

Thats the difference! :colone:

My old old school, I will miss this too! (Going back to visit in the Summer though. :colone:)

Oh ma gosh. Your old school. Is. Awesome. you're so lucky to have lived abroad too! My school (just left) doesn't even have a pool, or even a food tech department  I'm going to a new one, very exciting!
Are you a swimmer then?

Yeah, swimming is my thing. :P

My family has kind of hopped from place to place over the years so I have lived in quite a few places, the downside is that you are constantly having to say goodbye to friends and make new ones.

Millfield doesn't do food tech and neither does UWC, which is a shame because I love cooking. :frown:

Cool  trampolining is mine!
A girl in my school is on the Olympic swimming team, she's only 16
Yeah, i can imagine it sucks to have to say goodbye, but it would be really nice to see the world etc.
Cooking is amazing fun and a life skill! you'd think that more places would teach it

Morpeth School in Tower Hamlets, East London. Not quite as luxorious as some of the places shown here already!
SummerhillSchool.jpg
That would be my dream, it's Summerhill School in Suffolk. It's a small boarding school where all the decisions are made democratically, with both students and staff voting, and pupils having huge amounts of freedom - to the extent of all lessons being optional. Seems to work suprisingly well in practise for something which sounds so utopic.

Really? Siobhan goes to your school? :beard: She deserved her place there tbh, trains bloody hard.

I competed at the Olympic qualifers but obviously got trounced by the bigger guys. Hopefully I'll get Commonwealth in my gap yah. I'm happy in the GB development squad, I don't have to compete with Liam Tancock or Mark Foster then. :colone:

Ah, so swimming is your 'proper' thing, like career thing! WOW! Trampolining is just a fun thing i do, i'm definitely not good at it.
Yeah, i was gobsmacked, most other swimmers are about 20 and then she got in!
That's too bad, but i guess the older ones have an advantage. Plus, you could always try for Rio '16 too!
