how do people get unofficial mark schemes?!!?!!?

Looking the correct answer up in the book, using the mark schemes for previous papers, most common answer, etc, etc. You don't "get" them, you make them.

Would the voolume of CO2 produed not just be 1cm^3 because

the question said in experiment 1, not experiment 2. 1 had fall in volume of 5cm3 and 2 had fall in volume of 1cm3

I knew they would ask HSW questions, I'm not surprised it was asked. I'm saying that I didn't like the question and struggled on it.

The exam was pretty recent and people are stressed out and worried. Students have the right to express how they felt about questions :facepalm:
If you don't like it, don't read it.

I agree, we are not stupid we know how the paper works, it's not easy to deal with 8 questions which require hard thinking in 90 minutes, plus the pressure and the thought that our uni place depends on it does not help it...

41 not 42.

(0.51^0.5)*(1-0.51^0.5)*2 = 40.828... so 41% since you are only giving two sf in the question so answer should be to that accuracy.

42 not 41

dominant = 51% = q^2 + 2pq
recessive = 49% = q^2

0.49 = q^2
0.7 = q

p+q = 1
p = 0.3

2pq = heterozygous = 2 x (0.3 x 0.7) = 0.42 = 42%

DONE. now if one more person speaks about this, i will cry

I put 4 for the CO2 output question, because I thought that it would be the difference between when there is KOH and when there is water as the KOH absorbs all the CO2

Ah **** so it is. I put 0.51 as q^2 by accident. Hopefully I get some marks.
