VW Bora or a Passat diesel, perhaps?
Late Ford escort
Astra? Vectra?

It all depends what you fancy doesnt it? Personally I get bored easily and change cars every 6 weeks or so.
Would probably be cheaper to set up your on insurance company these days! I'm 23, written off two cars AND had a driving ban in the past, when it comes to quotes I well and truly get F'd in the A!
Saloon loses against the hatchback. There is a difference of £1,2,ooo between the quotes.

Wouldn't be surprised . How did you manage to get all of that done with a space of around 5 years on the road

If all you're doing is tapping into comparison websites I'm not surprised.

I renewed my insurance last thursday and the company I'm using doesn't even come up on confuse the meerkat dot con.

3.5 litre V8 sports car, agreed valuation not market value, fully comp, breakdown, unlimited legal cover, uninsured driver cover. That covers both me and my other half and also gives me the drive other cars 3rd party clause.
£127 plus another 11 quid for the agreed valuation form when I fill it out.

All this 4 figure stuff is nonsense. The most I've ever paid for car insurance was just over 800 quid back when I was 17.

Nah I'm actually using a wide range of sites.

1 comparison site go compare.

2 companies who uses smart box's .insurethebox, co-op young drivers etc

2-3 other aviva, churchil, LV

I answer each question the same as my previous quotes (all true) only thing i changed was the cars make etc.

Neither am I, Mr post-a-reply-on-a-discussion-forum-and-don't-expect-a-response.
Take your argument outside Aack. I would have condoned your little verbal fight to the death with Pitt1988, but with your childish comebacks, i don't feel that it's worth getting out the pop corn.

Check out that link for information.

The first advice is to combine confused/money supermarket...

Once you've spent your own time following all the advice on that site then come back here and ask again in this insurance sticky.

More info in another link in the OP as well of general good advice.

Yeah but most people aren't driving classic cars, how much NCB do you have, and how long since you passed?

What do you think the best option is then for people driving "regular " cars, aside from the websites?

I'd be driving an MGB roadster if my grandad hadn't had left it outside to rot for the past 16 years. Chassis is completely rusted away :frown:

The newest car I own today might have been built in '75 but that hasn't always been the case. I've had plenty of modern stuff - Mini Cooper S, BMW 330Ci, Porsche 911, LR Freelander, Various Jags and Volvos etc... all sorts really.

You just need to pick up the phone and talk to another human being. It's a ball ache and it'll cost you half a day of your life, but it's neccesary unless you want to pay through your nose.

Internet comparison sites are a total waste of time IMHO.

Do you use a broker or go direct to insurance companies?

Nice collection of cars, but seriously you didn't pay more than 800 quid on a 911? what year was it?

If you don't mind me asking how old are you and what do you do for a living?

Drove a '73 Targa two years ago

The link that take you to money supermarket is cracking.
It seems that the Co-op young drivers insurance is popular but no good if you have modifications :frown:.
I just purchased insurance with Admiral, they have a young drivers low mileage scheme. They don't really advertised it (weirdly) as it's cheap. I got it just under £1.3K with add ons, mods declared TPFT and 0 NCD. 2 years licence although. They secure a telematic but it's only to check your mileage and nothing else (apparently). I think you have to pay it one off, unsure though.

Check it out if all else fails.

you're not one of those hoodlums that drives round in their hatchbacks with big alloys and a sub with their music on full blast, with the seat as far back is it will go in a vain attempt to look cool are you? :curious:
