I got 12 A*s at GCSE, and there is no way I'm going to get 4 As at A Level...
Are you doing A Levels?

If you get good GCSEs, A Levels won't suddenly turn up like magic. You have to work for A Levels like you did at GCSE.

I did significantly worse at AS level than I did at GCSE, but I realise now that was my fault, so this year I'm going to put in the work required to get the AAB grades I'm aiming for.

not a clue, as I haven't done my AS levels yet, but I am pretty sure I am going to flop History and chemistry as we aren't even halfway though the stuff we need to learn for January

S'all about work ethic, you can blag through gcses. I put literally NO time into them at all outside of school. I was always off doing something I shouldn't have been doing
A level is much different, you cannot blag an A level exam and expect As and Bs like you did at GCSEs.

I'm doing better at A Level I feel. I'm only studying one subject I hate as opposed to 5.

I've done any externally-marked exams yet, but I know for sure, that my grades will not continue the standard set by the GCSEs I got.

I'm doing better at A level I think, I got 4 As for AS. I think it's because I'm doing my favourite subjects only and I'm obviously better at them than all my GCSE subjects.

I did better at A level. I messed around for GCSEs because I knew they didn't count for anything, got a few Bs, a mainly As, and a few A*. Got all A at A level.
