OCR GCSE Chemistry A- C7 + Ideas In Context, May 24th 2012. OFFICIAL THREAD

I took all three individual sciences, and got:

Chemistry: C7 UMS (100/100) overall (294/300)
Biology: B7 UMS (99/100) overall (291/300)
Physics: P7 UMS (99/100) overall (291/300)

A* A* A* I was very pleased, although the country gave me a helping hand on this one; the grade boundaries were awful. :smile:

congratulations, but what were the grade boundaries for chemistry if you know???

because i revised extremely hard and normally get A's in chemistry and i found it weird that i got a B especially since i found that i knew 90% of the answers in the exam.

For the C7 exam, it was 29/55 for an A*.

I got 100UMS although I know I messed up at least two questions :smile:

A in physics so annoyed got high A*s in all the exams just messed up course work!!

A* A* and a B in Physics, annoyed as i was one mark away from an A but i didnt do any revision for physics and didnt pay attention in lessons either, but oh well, and the boundaries for Chem was something like 24 for an A and 29 for an A* really low

i got 78, i was really shocked it was that low, how many marks do you think 78ums marks is.

Its about 21 out of 55
If anyone wants to know to get 100ums you needed 34 out of 55

Why does everyone know their own damn marks, all we got were stupid overall grades >_<

I got A* in all 3 sciences. :smile:
On our sheet we have a seperate column for MARKS. And the grade you got for the exam and the overall grade.

I got: 95% in Chem, 97% in Bio and 100% in Physics 1,2,3 and 7.
Coursework was slightly crapper :L As I always hated CW, I only got A's for them but atleast I got A*s for all my other exams.

Lol, I found out today why my chemistry grade went from an A* to an A

C7 100/100
C4,5,6 50/50
C1,2,3 41/50
Coursework went from 100/100 to 73/100 because the other half of the year were marked generously? WTF?
I'm not even allowed a remark -_-

Wow that is unfair.....you should be able to appeal that at least.

No, no appeals allowed. I'm 7th in my year overall though, so pretty happy. Off to do AQA AS Chemistry and Biology (Y)
