Norway Mass Murder Suspect Believed to Be Secretly Gay, Depressed Before Massacre

Confessed Norway mass murderer Anders Behring Breivik may have been struggling with homosexuality in the period leading up to him allegedly killing 77 people in 2011, former friends of his have testified at a hearing.

Breivik's trial, which seeks to determine whether the alleged mass murderer was sane or not while carrying out the attacks, produced a surprising revelation on Tuesday when four of his former friends testified that he had also been suffering from depression, moved back in with his mother and cut down social contact greatly. Some of them had only kept occasional contact with their friend in the months leading up to the killings, The Associated Press shared.

One former friend even said that Breivik, 33, had shown "feminine behavior and used makeup," was unsuccessful in relationships with women, and may have been gay. "I believed he was in a deep depression or that he was a homosexual who did not want to come out in public about it," the friend, who was not identified, shared.

The massacre at a liberal youth camp retreat at Utoya Island on July 22, 2011 resulted in 69 casualties, while a bomb that Breivik allegedly planted in central Oslo killed eight others. Breivik has confessed to his actions, but denies criminal intent, saying that as a Christian defender of Norway, he wanted to drive out Muslims and battle acceptance of Muslims that he believes are taking over his country.

If found criminally sane, Breivik will face up to 21 years in prison, the maximum penalty under Norway's legal system. If deemed insane, however, he would be committed to compulsory psychiatric care for as he is deemed a danger to society.

On another note, Breivik's friends also attested that the 33-year-old had undergone surgery on his nose, because he believed it was too big and he was teased for having an "Arab" nose.

Breivik, however, denied the claims at the end of Tuesday's hearing, and said that he had never been depressed, and the reason why he wore makeup sometimes was to cover up pimples. He did not directly respond to allegations that he was gay, however.

He also added that he distanced himself from his friends as he was planning the attacks because they did not support him ideologically and he did not want to get them involved.

The trial is set to continue until the end of June.

I think he's gay and it would explain a lot, especially comming from a Christian background (as he would have a lot to struggle with).

Due to depression etc. you usually find these people take it out on themselves, but I think in this case, Brievik took it out against Muslims, as they seem to be easy to blame. But, that's just a theory, it could be anything.

Would he potentially be the first gay terrorist?

Hasn't it already been decided that it was all World of Warcraft's fault?

Seriously, is there any evidence that he is gay other than "he used makeup"? Because straight guys do that too, you know.

Nah, now he was motivated by the frustration caused by his sexual orientation
Random unidentified person claiming to be the guys friend says he thinks he could be sexually repressed and provides no evidence whatsoever to back up his claims?

:lolwut:

Breivik has already accounted for all of this in his own testimony? He talked about how he cut all social contact months before to try and lessen the impact on people who knew him etc.
I'm laughing how this has turned from the Terminator to Brokeback Fjord.

Theres a four letter word im thinking of the first letter is F the last is K and its followed by off.

Slight anecdotal evidence (wearing makeup could mean did fancy dress for a party once ) from a former friend and youve jumped all over it. Hang on maybe a few of the 9/11 terrorists did what they did cos of repressed homosexualaity - maybe they got it up for ole binny ladyen and didnt want to admit it. Hell theres just as much evidence for it and your proposed explanation

He killed the muslims cos he was gay - right thats up there with hes gay so obviously likes children :wtf:

No, I did not know this, it is indeed news to me. Is it a new culture/fashion that I'm missing?

Out of all the terrorist that have existed in the last couple of centuries (I'm not sure exactly when "terrorism" became a thing), I really doubt he'd be the first gay one if this is true. And of course the Christian Post, not exactly an unbiased source.
I think he's just a nutter.
Someone make a meme.

So your logic is that hebecame a mass- murderer because he may have been closet gay? What about other mass murders, saddam hussain, bin laden etc could their actions have been related to homosexual feelings too?

Well in his manifesto he wrote he had sex with some Hungarian prostitutes

Maybe this is true, but I don't think it can be said that this in itself propelled him to carry out the attacks. His boringly long manifesto details his wacko ideology quite clearly, and it's silly to say that someone would produce all that just because they were a homosexual. I personally think we need to scrutinize the motives of the OP. He's only making the most of this story (his link being a religious website) because he's a fanatical Islamist who detests gays himself, and wants to present homosexuality as impetus to murder.

Quite a suprisingly high number of ultra fascists have been gay / conflicted about their sexuality tbh... Doesn't mean all gays are dangerous or anything though.
Wouldn't be a suprise if this turned out to be true.

I doubt it. Many of the Islamic terrorists are probably repressed homosexuals. Would explain a lot, especially coming from a Muslim background. I guess many people in their position would take it out on themselves, but in their case, they took it out against infidels, as they seem to be easy to blame. Who knows, maybe even bin Laden too (though you seem to flatly deny that he could ever have consumed pornography)
Clearly all gay people who are afraid to come out have the potential to become mass murderers :s-smilie:

If this is true, it would only be one of numerous factors that made him this way anyway, there isn't going to be a simple answer to what made him this way.

The hate against Muslims is strong in this.

As for the BL porn facade, sorry but not everyone is going to believe that, and I'm not just talking Muslims here.
