‘Book Tokens’ – ask for an Amazon gift card instead so that you can buy any essential textbooks.

A car – most universities don’t allow halls residents car permits unless you’ve got a disability requiring it. Most universities have good bus services between the campus and nearest town centre.

Pets – these will most likely be banned from halls as outlined in your tenancy agreement
