Imagining my friends getting higher than me. We usually make bets
Not wanting to do badly in the exam and have to resit.
The worry of having something I know crap all about come up in the exam.
Just generally wanting to do as well as I personally can.
My desperation to get into Leeds and not end up at Oxford Brookes.

The thought of McDonalds

LOL, what?

Spending too much time on TSR and feeling guilty about it. And also my desperation to get into Manchester!

My Mother.

There was an article in the local newspaper the other day where the parents of a child were congratulating them on getting into University, but they had taken a BTEC course and achieved D*D*D*.

My Mother had no idea what any of this was and was like, "Why on Earth would you praise your child for getting a D?".

Says to me, "You better not be getting any D's!".

Motivation enough.

LOL same here

A dialogue I had last week after doing a maths past paper:

Me: No... But it will be full UMS!

Mum: I DON'T CARE ABOUT THIS UMS RUBBISH!! YOU NEED TO GO GET FULL MARKS OTHERWISE THIS EDUCTAION WE ARE PROVIDING YOU WITH IS USELESS!!!!

The soundtrack I play myself every night with a recording of me saying "Would you like fries with that?"
The picture of the hobo pinned on my computer desk.
The toilet plunger+ cleaners uniform in my closet.
The awesome feeling of attaining a grade that virtually everyone thought you couldn't.

The desire to get a good grade and go to a good university.
When I'm near exams I always make myself revise by setting an amount of things to do each day (not as structured as a revision timetable, though - just "you should probably do some maths or physics or english etc"), and looking at a calendar to see how near my exams are.

When I have a sudden thought of failing my exams or realise I don't have a proper understanding of something.
The thought of doing better than my friends.
