Woah! I'm doing geography, and I love the development unit. It's so interesting. Is it recognised as something prestigious?

No it's nothing prestigious just an a level! I don't know any schools in my region (e. Yorkshire) that do it, might be more around the country. This is the website about it http://www.wjec.co.uk/index.php?subject=107

I tried checking whether colleges in my area do it, and they don't. :frown:

Aw that's such a shame! I didn't even want to choose it as an option it was compulsory in yr 11 'cos I'd done the geog in yr 10. I did choose to it for A2 as part of a thing called the elective programe in my school, basically 2 hrs on a thurs. my exam is on wednesday :/

Doin' Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and History at AS, will drop biology (as the AQA A2 spec is awful :/) and then I think that I'm gonna do a Masters in Chemistry at Sheffield

what can you do with a masters in chemistry apart from..become a chemistry teacher...i'll see you in the job centre
I've just finished my A2 exams in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Physics.
I want to be a medical research scientist.
I've just finished my A2 exams in media, english and sociology. Hopefully off to uni in September to do media and communications then would love to go into advertising/public relations
People who claim academic qualifications are useless are usually the people with little, or none at all.
A degree is no guarantee to a good life, it just improves your 'chances' of sucsess and is esentially an INVESTMENT for the FUTURE.
I am planning to study History and Politics at uni in september but have no clue as to future aspirations.
Remember you dont need to decide or be sure of what you want to do in your life. We live relatively short lives which you should enjoy to the max...

Can someone advise me on what degrees and career paths I should think about perusing. I am decent at science especially Biology and Chemistry, I am studying Bio chem physics and maths at as at the moment and I was always interested in doing a health related degree e.g pharmacy. I really enjoy science and is definitely my best subjects.

So what career's should I look at all that I need is good money decent hours and the ability to improve someone's well being somehow...
hello?!? any advice?

I'm taking Psychology, Maths and Religious Studies. Have applied for Philosophy and Psychology at University so hopefully will get a place doing that . Fingers crossed.

Have a few career paths in my head, all of them are very different e.g. law and teaching! Anything can happen though, we'll see what I decide at Uni
Studying Maths, Computing, Spanish and Religious Studies. Going to continue with Maths, Computing and Religious Studies and hopefully go on to do a degree in CompSci.

Studying Maths, Economics and history, Aiming to Study MORSE or Mathematics at Warwick, don't know about careers. btw MORSE stands for Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics.
I'm planning to take; History, Geography, Economics and Government and Politics. I'm also considering taking Maths to AS Level, as I know it would benefit me in the future but I don't really enjoy it (to say the least).

After sixth form I'm hoping to do PPE, Economics and Politics, Politics and International Relations, Modern History with Economics, or Politics with Modern History.

And after that I'm hoping to go into PR, Management consultancy, Politics or something similar.

Even though, my dream job is to work in Music or Fashion related PR, haha.
