its a unit 4 practical right?

Not necessarily - it could be a redox titration, from unit 5, like the one with KMnO4 and NaC2O4.
Just a reminder to everyone: Content-specific discussion of practical exams is not allowed. All discussion must be kept general. Breach of this rule will result in a 5 point warning.
Mine is next week and it is on titrations! :frown:

What does the titration consist of?

Idk I'll find out next week!
I'm doing the practicals next week.

If it's titrations then i'm going to assume that it's linked with transition metals.

How did you find the practical?

just finished my isa both practical and written  To be fair it wasnt bad, the lowest my class got was a b.
Mine is on the 14th & 15th! Do we have to do a few questions after we do the practical, or is that strictly for the exam?

I think I will be fine with a titration providing I take my time and read it, but I want to know if I should prepare to actually know the content better for the practical.

Thanks!

Bit late, but its something along the lines of 'the effect of changing iodide ions on a reaction with hydrogen peroxide'

sounds like a classic experiment...lol

I just thought, if it's not a titration, what will they give us marks for in the practical?

drawing tables and erm probably the accuracy of the results/ observations.

For task 1 and 2 it's just tables

That seems fair I guess :s-smilie:
I hope they're not expecting us to know all the transition metal complex colours, we've only just started it!
I'm not sure how carbonyl groups relate either, seems really weird

Good luck/I'm sure it went well for you guys

Its not about transition metals, we started that today and I asked my teacher and he goes it's not on the paper. Well I will find out for sure tomorrow (got task 3)
