If 80kg is your current max clean, you'll be hard pressed to power clean it. You can clean more than you power clean but the technique is harder with full cleans. Having said that, going by your current lifts, an 80kg PC should be piss easy for a single.

It depends also why you're hitting parallel. Are you catching the bar at parallel or are you catching it high and dropping down to parallel for some reason?


I caught it high and dropped down, don't ask why because I have no clue where I got that idea that was how it's done from :p:. Watched some videos now.

Thats why I commented on it, because I was going to parallel which seemed pointless in the first place because the bar was already pretty much at my shoulders so was thinking I was doing something wrong.
