'Anti-elitist' prat tries to intervene with the boat race.

Without contravening TSR's swearing regs, what a nob! The boat race is not a symbol of an elite, unless by elite you mean intelligent. What a sad dick. What will he target next? Golf? However, his attitudes aren't rare in the UK. Far too many uneducated or idealist pricks are crying 'not fair', when they should really be putting their minds towards something productive.

Rant over.

... Strange
Very, very annoying. It really angered me to be honest - it's just so pathetic.

Spoiler

It's only a bleeding boat race, no need to get your knickers in such a twist. I found it mildly amusing.

What an oarful human being. Ho ho.
I missed the race on TV as I was out at the time and I heard what had happened on the radio and I was gobsmacked! What sort of idiot does that, all it shows is his ignorance, especially as he is obviously from a bit of an elitist background himself.

As a rower myself, I feel for those guys who had put months and months of pain into that race. It was their lives for the past years, training their arses off to get through the gruelling selection progress, let along the actual training programme for it all to be ruined by one selfish, stupid idiot!

To put things into perspective of his acts, my friends got hit around the head with a rowin blade in the middle of race while in a boat and ended up in hospital, imagine if that race had not been stopped in time! He was lucky not to be killed!

Again rant over!

What I find funny is that he allegedly went to a private school then LSE which can itself be considered quite elitist, hypocritical much

Probably one of those self-hating socialists.
LOL

much more entertaining than some silly old boat race you only havr to look at how little chance state school kids have to get into to Oxbridge to see how elitist the whole thing is
well at least it provided some drama to what would otherwise be yet another drab contest

Maybe private schools simply produce better scholars? Had that obvious possibility not occured to you?

Hilarious, how someone who went to a university ranked nearly as highly as Oxbridge, was protesting against elitism. Mind you, it was the London School of Marxism, so not too surprising.

Another left-wing, socialistic, sanctimonious prick making a tit of himself.

The flip side is that if he had went to an 'ordinary' school and then to an 'ordinary' university or no university at all, instead of hypocrisy, he'd be accused of jealousy.

Or maybe it is the state school system that needs improving? Why drag education down for the sake of it? Oxford needs to maintain its standards and the state system needs to catch up. Simple as.

The boat race is a British sporting event, with only highly stereotypical connotations with anything class related. Only the retarded and idealist believe in that stereotype. I feel the people on here saying it makes it more exciting, are the type that don't watch or have ever had an interest in the boat race anyway.

i agree you cant expect them to just accept state pupils for being form the state sector but the gap between state and private is so big it favours them an then you just look at what sort of people run the country. you cant wonder why nothing changes
