Teenage Stubble ??

Im 17 years old and am very hairy, I can grow a full beard in about a week. I tend to shave every day but am really fed up of doing it, do you think I should let it grow ?

I let mine grow sometimes, but because I'm lazy and can't be bothered to shave.

Think beards are really cool but on older guys. I'm nearly half way between 18 and 19 and I think I am too young to pull off a beard (and yes I do look my age).

So shave for now, but maybe in like 5 years you can grow it properly

I am in the exact same position as you. I am 18 years old and my hair has been growing like that since 15.

it's very anoyying.

I would suggest trimming as shaving causes your hair too grow back thicker.
It's alot easier and alot more conveniant.

Also theres no harm in keeping a little beard, although it can make you look scruffy so make sure you shape it out and tidy it up. but ultimatley trimming is very easy.

Iv'e tried plucking my facial hair, it dosent hurt but is anoyying and takes abit of time. but is great!! hair wont grow back for about 2 weeks or more. It would be easy if you lie down and someone pluck the hair out for you. may take uptoo an hour though. this is if your hair really pees you off though

Grow that beard and keep taking night buses until you get in a fight. Win said fight and become epic beard man.

Fame & fortune are yours now.

I'm eighteen and I can barely grow one of those dirty teenager moustaches...
Let it grow. When you get to university (if you decide to go) you'll find a lot of dudes grow a beard. Then again it depends on whether you look good with it or not. Generally speaking, some dark stubble can look pretty good; or maybe even style it into a goatee with some burns. Whatever looks cool man.

I'm fairly confident that that's an old wives' tale! Here is the answer Dr. Gibson, who specialises in dermatology, gives in response to the claim:

At the moment I only need to shave once a week , I can't wait to have quick facial hair growth -.- If I were you I'd let it grow for a few days before shaving...
I'm 17 too and I can grow a beard to lightly cover my face in about 2 weeks. I think it makes me look older so I leave it until i feel i want to start again. What exactly do you mean as a full beard? A thick covering of hair or LOADS of hair? If its only a 'covering' then I would leave it!

I'm the same I let it grow sometimes cause I'm just lazy. I remember when I was in my mid teens and the novelty of shaving, now it's just like for **** sake can't be bothered shaving and leave the house looking really rough.

shave the blighter, some chap in my year [u6th] has a full on beard, looks like a complete tool [not saying you would as we have no idea what you look like] but generally speaking beards really dont suit younger people.
I'm 16, and can also grow a pretty impressive fully developed beard in a week, and have been able to do for a year or 2! However i do look quite a bit older than my true age. I usually get guesses of around 21! I've had bets with my friends and I've let it grow out for weeks, and seriously it gets huge. I end up looking like some Amish boy! I never have a clean shave, but usually always keep it short though (unless I can make money from my friends again)

Why do you want to have quick growth? Shaving once a week is a pain in the ass as it is.
