Hi
I'm doing the MRes in Clinical Psychology, although I know as little as you about the psychology department. I chose Birmingham mostly for the unique course, and while i know the psych department is well ranked, I don't know anything about what it is like to be a part of it. Will be watching this thread with interest!
I think the difference between an MRes and an MPhil is teaching. an MRes is a taught (or at least partially taught) degree, where as i think an MPhil is basically like a first year of a PhD, and so it is basically going off and doing your research, with your supervisor keeping tabs on you.
If anyone currently does the MRes in Clinical, or knows anything about the department, some views would be very welcome!
