As this article shows their are clear differences between genders. (Before the "Wikipedia is not a reliable source" brigade post a response please note that the wikipedia article has references at the bottom so please feel free to go direct to the sources yourself.)

Men have:
- Denser and stronger bones, tendons and ligaments
-More muscle and a higher ratio of muscle compared to the rest of their body mass.
-Larger hearts
-Greater lung volume per body mass and larger trachea and bronchi
-Higher red blood cell and haemoglobin count hence a greater oxygen carrying capacity
- A narrower pelvis, this is better for walking, running etc... The female pelvis is broader for child birth so not so optimal for walking running etc..

Men also have thicker skin (more collagen) and higher levels of clotting factors in the blood so wounds heal faster.

A study also revealed that women have a higher concentration of nerve endings per cm2 and as a result experience more pain than men

Another study has suggested that women are naturally more susceptable to emotional stress than men because there brain cells adapt differently to changing levels of stress hormones. This is thought to be a potential explanation for higher levels of depression and anxiety disorders in women.

So it would seem that males are better adapted to deal with the physical and emotional demands of combat. Now I don't see a problem with this, and I wonder why anyone else does? Men and women are different and excel at different things. There are things that women do better than men and vice-versa But it doesn't mean that either sex is superior to the other.

Below is a video of a shrimp and a fish that have learnt to accept and value each others differences and different skill sets and flourish as a result. If creatures from different species can do it why cant different genders from the same species do it?

I have complete respect for women's rights and think that they should be able to do what they want to do etc., but your first point is ridiculous. Do you see male and female 100m sprinters competing together? No, because men are faster. That's the same reason why I don't think employers in certain sectors (e.g. manual labour) should be punished for employing a man over a women, because in all likelihood the man would be better at the job because he is physically stronger. That is why "biological differences" do have an effect on what women can and can't do as well as men.

Argh. I'm saying that, if a woman does become physically as fit as a man, then that doesn't even matter. When there is a difference, fair enough, choose the one more likely to do the job better. I'm saying women who join the military should have to accept they need to reach the same fitness level as their male colleagues, because the army shouldn't have to except second-rate soldiers.

How is educational performance an indication of intelligence? The reason females on average do better at school than males is because most males are too busy either playing MMOs or getting drunk. And last I heard the likes of Newton, Einstein and Hawking are men. The claim that one gender is smarter than the other is stupid.

The most intelligent are men but on average females are cleverer, this has been proven in all levels of education. There are no excuses eg.getting drunk, why wouldn't women get drunk?and in a way focus on education,is an intelligence to realise how important it is and educational performance=intelligence.

School results are more a measure of deligence than intelligence.

There have been not really been any studies measuring intelligence that have measured a significant advantage to women in intelligence. In fact a Study of over 20,000 students has show that men on average score 5 IQ points higher than women. Also there are twice as many men with an IQ of 120-plus as there are women, there are 30 times the number of men with an IQ of 170-plus as there are women.

Is there a difference between being intelligent and being clever? They are pretty much the same thing. Saying that there is a difference between a wet sponge and a soaked sponge simply undermines your point when you try to differentiate. What differentiates men and women is not at all factual or genetic but cultural. The reason why most historical scientists are men is because of the traditional stigma against women which didn't let them pursue higher level education in the first place. This stigma stick until very recently, with the emergence of the likes of Marie Curie.

And education is still nowhere near a measure of intelligence: only of social confirmation. You are given a set of rules, theories and standards and you are expected to confirm by them. Indeed intelligence helps with such a process but what about those who are intelligent enough to pursue a process of independent learning?

By the way,the most intelligent are men but women ar clever,is a true fact of education eg.more men get 1sts at uni that women, yet women on average get higher grades at university.@polkadot IQ tests are less reliable than school results because people often score 20 more or less, from different takes and even Einstein didn't score that high.

one of the main reasons this is not being discussed is because a disproportionate amount of the rapists are from minority groups. especially african americans, who have extremely high rape rates in the US.

political correctness is dangerous. not just silly.
