Omg :frown: Nooo I wanted a WW2 question or 5 year plans questions :cry2:
Power struggle is difficult..is that triumvirate and how stalin used tactical manoeuvrability etc etc ?

Maybe causes/failures of revolutions will come up or ermm Great Terror or Cult of realism/socialism and all the propoganda stuff.. :/ I have no idea! I've still not finished revising for history and plus I cant write essays :frown:

Yeah, why Stalin emerged as Lenin's successor rather than Trotsky etc.

I don't think there's been a lot on Stalin's final years so it might also be that?

I've barely got past the 1905 revolution in revision so don't worry! Look in the textbook at the grey pages as they tell you how to answer the questions and I think they have examples of scripts on the edexcel website to give you an idea of a level 5 answer etc. I don't know if everyone can view them as our teacher photocopied them for us.

1) Write an intro on diff ways terror changed over time, make your judgement and answer the question straight away..

2)Talk about the specific ways terror changed in a few paragraphs and then talk how far they changed and how far they acheived what Stalin was aiming to do..

3) Conclude on your points

I personally want a question on the 1905 revolution, and then a question on rise to power.

Im also doing Russia 1881-1953. If you want to know what q's came up in edexcel in january i believed I posted it in another thread somewhere... whatever i'll post it here too.

how far were reformists responsible for the 1905 revolution from 1881 onwards, or something along those lines.
how far was lenin responsible for the october revolution in 1917 or something along those lines

how was did the aims and objectives for the five years plans change from 1928-41
how far was the lend-lease programme responsible for Russia's victory in wwII.....

And i know what you're thinking. I have no idea how i messed up q's so easy either.

EDIT: I've sat the past two exams for this, because i'm stupid evidently, or cannot write an essay, anyways, I think rise to power and civil wars will come up for sure. Thank me tuesday evening

I'm doing civil rights; has anyone actually revised for the other ethnic minorities movements?

Same, I'm doing Civil Rights and Stalin's Russia. We haven't covered it either! My History teacher just said don't worry about the other ethnic minorities and skip the question if it comes up.

I just hope a question on it doesn't come up!

No no one in my class has revised that..

I've heard a few people saying rise to power will come up and my friends think civil war will because they haven't asked it recently. I'm hoping it's these as I don't know much especially about WW2 as we didn't finish it in class.

Yeah i'd bet a lot of money rise to power will come up, as ww2(x2), industrialisation and collectivisation have all come up on past two exams. Knowledge isn't my problem, it's writing a balanced, structured essay!

what about terror coming up? it's been quite long since the last time it came up:/

I'm doing both of those, much more worried about Italy, it seems a lot more complicated...

How about you?

It sort of came up in January 2011, but I agree that there is also a strong possibility of those two popping up. I'm going to focus on civil war, rise to power and The Great terror. Actually, I just wrote an essay on that which I got a B for.
