1st = 70+
2:1 = 60-69
2:2 = 50-59
3rd = 40-49

Anything under 40 is usually a fail

Excellent, thanks!

Yeah 40% is the pass mark for us so I guess the rest would work out about right :smile:

Anything between 30% and 39% is generally a compensatable fail (i.e. you don't need to re-sit if you have passed well in other modules).

:eek: Lucky...
Surely that's not an issue for you anyway?

How hard can it be to pass a unit in a TV production degree?

Some universities still have a 'pass' (i.e. effectively a '4th') as well, actually. I know Oxford does, but usually very few are given out. It's probably the hardest grade to get.:smile:

I thought that the classification was ??

50-59 = 2:2
40-50 = 3rd I did not realize that this was 40-49 ?

As above, if this were the case would someone finishing with 59 get a third AND a 2:2? :p:

40 up to (and including) 49 is usually a thid. 50 to to (and including) 59 is a 2:2.

Closing as this thread is over three years old, you shouldn't bump old threads, and I think you've received the clarification you require.
