an engineering pathwaythat doesnt require you to be a mehanical engineer - us electronic engineers do exist OU, who else is gonna fix this tech in the future? Not the mech grunts with their hammers and screwdrivers, thats for sure

Us mech grunts have feelings :frown: as do our hammers

Quantum Chemistry modules

More mathematical chemistry, the OU stuff (currently doing S345) does feel a little watered down compared to stuff I did at 2nd year in Edinburgh
I would have loved to do a degree in psychology and counselling.
Instead I've settles for psychology and criminology.

Is there a reason you couldn't combine them in an Open Degree?

I would love to see Italian up to level 3 so I could take it, as I'd love to study Italian but I didn't want to stop after intermediate with the OU.

I'd also love to see a Russian course. I'd definitely sign up for that (even if it's just one level one 30 point course).

I think of all the subjects, languages and cultural studies, is the one that could do with the biggest expansion. Yes, English is the language of business but learning other nations' languages and culture will give business advantages to those in the know.

Ah, it's like the audiovisual side of Computing. I'd like to be a sound engineer or something for the BBC, it would help me so much. Computer Science doesn't interest me very much. It's a bit too boring, I'd like to learn some really useful stuff

Funnily enough, Keele and Goldsmiths are the exact ones I was looking at. Not seen this International program before though. I am in the UK :P But thank you very much. I was looking at OU because there are low/no entry requirements, which one of the things that worries me about the above Universities!

Sociolinguistics or linguistic anthropology... do they offer any anthropology courses? I haven't looked

How can you possibly be useful as a sound engineer if you don't learn the fundamental stuff. I suggest you rethink your head in the clouds attitude.

I'd like to see more choice in their biology and chemistry modules. They took away 'Biology: uniformity and diversity' but didn't replace it until the upcoming academic year, which means a student like me has had to take a module they weren't so happy with!

And I wish they'd reverse their decision to get rid of the more specialised science degrees! I'd have preferred to do life sciences.. Now doing 'broad degree' natural sciences, as they advertise it!
