I have finished that chapter of Chemistry now. :woo:

Now I can enjoy my lunch.

Chemistry:

Paper 1 : What is a catalyst? (2)
My answer: A substance that lowers the activation energy in a reaction by providing an alternative reaction pathway. It isn't itself used up in the reaction.
Answer: It speeds up the reaction without being used.

Paper 2 : What is catalyst (2)
My answer: A substance that speeds up a reaction and isn't used in the reaction
Answer:A substance that lowers the activation energy in a reaction by providing an alternative reaction pathway. It isn't itself used up in the reaction.

They always do this! it's the same for Bromine water, one year it's Orange to colourless. The next Brown to colourless.

I'm colourblind. I sometimes feel like writing a random colour down:tongue:

Something similar happened to me with a definition, except the other way round: :/

1st Paper: Define the standard enthalpy change of combustion.
Me: The enthalpy change when one mole of a substance undergoes complete combustion at standard conditions.
Markscheme: The enthalpy change when one mole of a substance undergoes complete combustion at standard conditions of 298K and 1atm pressure.

So annoying! :frown:

Halogens/halides in solution colours. :grumble:

It must be so annoying when you're doing practicals and have to write down your observations.

Got this from the "Official WJEC Chemistry unit 2 revision guide":

"Polarization of an anion is when a polarisable anion is polarised"

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

My board is so stupid.

 We're just having a rant about Chemistry now. :teehee:

We will be modelling in LA. :colone:

Soz. :/

Muahahah. :colone::colone: And I have finished all my oboe grades - unless I do diploma.

Obviously. :u:

It's fine - you don't have to if you don't want to. :cute:

:colone: :colone: Are you going to do diploma?

Okay. :h:

I don't know - I probably don't have time.

I can't believe in the film of the hunger games, they left out the sleeping bag. It plays such a vital role!

We do everything in pairs so no. If there is an EMPA I get an assistant. I'm lucky really, it's never caused any problems

:hugs:

That is a good point!

 Never mind the characters, it's the sleeping bag that should get a starring role. :teehee:

On another note, my parents really liked my school report. They didn't even pick holes in it this time for the first time ever. :colone:

I have almost finished my music poster. Just need to colour it in now. :colone:

I know right! It even had 2 seconds of stardom! :teehee:

That is great! :hugs:
Ugh why did i decide to learn vector calculus rather then revise :frown:

I agree... the same with maths... why do FP1 past papers when you can be doing STEP...
How's everyone's revision going?
