Well, I'm adding one now, and I think it would be helpful if when you clicked "create" it opened in a new window, so you could have the help page open whilst writing your recipe. Just most people will probs do things in order, and thus end up not reading the later steps.

Sadly, I've looked in to having links in a wiki opening in a new window. KIt does not sem possible for some reason - the only solution I found would be to have all links open in a new window. That is something we don't want - so if anyone has seen anything that would work and allow us to do with within a wiki article, then please say so!
Anyone want to help out, but just not sure what to do? Just ask and I can suggest things for you - there is always lots to do!
Hello - I've just started tackling the mammoth that will be the "University Glossary". Just wanted to check that I'm not treading on anyone's toes by getting on with it, really - if anyone else has started it already then they can have the work I've already done, if they would like it.

Hi there.
Nope, I don't think anyone has started it already, so you'll be stepping on no ones toes in making it
You might want to incorporate that into your more general glossary, or maybe link to it instead.
If you need any help, just ask
Ah yes - just thought of something, actually! Is there any way to create links to jump to other specific places on the same page, or is it just best to put "See such-and-such below"?

You mean like I have done here, where you can click "Clearing Passport" and end up at the bit about clearing passports?
You can only do that to a heading and subheading, I think.

It's easier to do with heading/subheading.
But I think it is possible to put tags in to a page which you can then link to. I think I've done it on one page somewhere, but I can't remember the page and can't remember how to do it.
*pitseleh*, if you want to do this in your page, just give me a shout and I can try and figure it out again.

Brilliant - if you are able to figure it out, please do let me know. It's no big deal if you can't remember, though; I just thought it would be "tidier" to do it that way. Cheers again.

IIRC you can do it with HTML anchor tags
*wanders off to test*
EDIT: Nah bit of a d'oh moment - anchor tags can't be used on the wiki... but you can do it with a span tag.
I'm not new to wikis in general but am to this one and most of the topics I would have started off with have already very good wiki pages.
From the to-do list is there anything in particular that needs attention?
Anything really
There are not any big targeted areas at the moment.
If you see something on that list you want to do, then do it (some bits might already have been done, but not crossed off, so just a warning to check first).
But yeah, from the uni guides which can always do with updating, to revision notes and articles in other areas, there is always much more which can be done beyond the things on the list too
It's really anything you think might be useful to students that we don't already have which could be written
