Ucas has a plagiarism checker. But what would happen if you applied one year decided after results that you could get into a better university with your grades. If you submitted the same personal statements what would happen?

It would be flagged up, but the system isnt automatic someone will check it and realise that the PS that you 'plagerised' was your own from last year and nothing will happen.

I think you would have the same UCAS number so it isnt a problem

Although at Uni, plagiarising your own work still counts as plagiarism, so maybe you should double check
