Default A-level Subject - F.Maths or Lit or Politics or Philospohy??
 
I have chosen Maths, Biology, Chemistry and ...
want to do as a 4th alevel either:

Further maths
Gov. and politics
Philosphy
or Literature.

What is best...
I would like to study Biology @ uni!

I would like to study Biology @ uni!

I'd go with FM if your interested in studying Biology. Unis just love FM. But at the same time, don't do it if don't enjoy maths. That's a given I guess...

i think FM helped me get that offer from imperial..

but i think i won't go uni because of how i flopped my FM exams

i did AS further maths and thought it ws hard and i hated it so i wouldnt advise it unless you really are into maths!

I'd go for a humanities subject because it shows unis that you're not just a scientist and that you can think in another dimension. If I were you, I'd probably pick literature.

English lit rocks! And shows your are a varied person, and will keeps lots of doors open for you.
However, some places might prefer you to have lots of mathy-sciencey subjects if you want to do Biology I guess. I'm an English-loving girl so I don't know much about maths/science.
But English lit really is awesome!

Fm - if ya like'a the maths, shows you're clever obviously.
English - If you like it, also very respected and gives you a rounded edge
Philosophy - Good if you want to do Biological Ethics or something? Useful anyway, also shows you are rounded.

You're doing Biology, Chemistry and Maths, the unis will get that you can do science subjects, so pick literature, philosophy or politics.

Thanks everyone!
Im still on the fence!!!

So - F maths - coz it shows intelligence. and goes well for unis 4 biology degree
Lit - it shows intelligence and roundedness!
Philosophy - it rocks lol!!

Should i call a uni and just ask what they would prefer?

This may be going against the trend but I would say do an essay subject, you are already doing 3 sciences so to show you are more of an all-rounder you shouldn't do further maths

Philosophy is amazing and shows you are logical

But I also love politics, i'm currently watching the politics show though :P If you find it insteresting then i'd do that

lol but i'm doing philosophy and politics at university so take from that what you will :P
