I know that there are already two threads on personal statements (sorry!), but I can't find much advice anywhere for English Language! Almost all of the English samples in TSR's library are for Lit and the Linguistics category has only one, so I feel a bit left out.

Does anyone have any advice/examples of PS they could contribute for this subject?

Have you read any language/linguistics books outside of your A-level course? David Crystal's work is always good to mention. Also any foreign languages you have studied link those in to it. Will read back over mine and see what I wrote.
