HDD upgrade for old PC - worth bothering?
    My current specs:

    PIII 866 Mhz
320 MB Ram (yes that is three hundred and twenty, not thirty-two, good lord no)
    4 Gb HDD
    FDD
    52x32x52 Cd Burner
    52x CD ROM
WinTV Express TV Tuner card (bttv chipset)
    nVidia GeForce2 32MB graphics card
    Mobo supports ultraATA I think
Am running SuSe Linux 9.2 pro

Is there much point getting a second hard disk, and if so, where should I get it from. I will be buying a laptop in early october anyway, so should I just save my money. OTOH I have a load of Windows software, I'd like to be able to run a win98 install again.

    Advice?

If you've used all 4 GB, then yes, you need another hard drive. I wouldn't spend a lot on one though.

do you have a credit card/debit card?

And flukey- a 20gb hdd should be practically free. Hell, a 160gb one can be picked up now for under £50.

2mb or 8mb. Not that much in it really.

If its not going in a high performance pc then 2mb is fine. 8mb is nice but not really needed.
