Sociology - Reccomended Books?

I'm planning to study Sociology at university in 2010, and thought it'd be a good idea to start reading further books outside school to extend my knowledge. Does anyone know a list of books, or how to go about finding some?

An introduction to sociology by Anthony Giddens and definitely a sociology dictionary, I bought the oxford one but I'm sure there are plenty of more that do the same job.

Sociology by Anthony Giddens is a well sought after text at university. See what's available on Google Books before anything else. Haralambos (author) is another well cited sociologist at university. The sooner I start learning proper criminology rather than sociology, the better. :biggrin:
