Yup, it lasts a week but I don't think we need to attend all events. I know some universities have freshers fortnight. I think one week is good enough for socialising, administrative stuff..etc. Can't wait to be there :woo:

you'll move in on either the 26th or 27th of Sept and freshers week starts on the monday - the 28th. it lasts a week culminating in the freshers squash on the sunday where you join all the societys and get loads of free stuff... pizzaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

thanks thats really helpful, thats more info than I've seen so far. Thats actually made me feel a lot better because it will give me two days with my new flat mates before it all goes crazy!! :eek3:

I guess not but I wouldn't want to miss any of it - meeting people for the first time and having all the 'welcome' talks and meetings, it's going to be sooooooooo cool!

I'm sure that some of the welcome meetings are compulsary. I was looking over fresher's week stuff and it said that stuff like your hall's welcome meeting was compulsary. I can't imagine missing Fresher's week. Don't you want to get settled in with everyone else?
