yet another physics question
is it possible to place two light bulbs such that when it is light one of the bulb is switched on and when it is dark another light bulb is switched on.
I tried making it with a potential divider concept but didn't work.
If anyone could include a simple circuit picture (just a paint pic will work fine) .. it really helps me understand

A potential divider should work. Maybe you need to change the values on the resistors/ ratings of the bulb? See attachment for circuit
