Well myself and Starfire (Gem) have arrived in Concept Place in 508A, it was not the expectation of the show room thats for sure, be sure to bring some cleaning equipment to give it a good once over before you unpack thats for sure. Bleach, surface cleaner, polish, glass cleaner and all that jazz.

We are on the Super internet package and doing a speed test and im getting less than 512kb thats half of 1MB... Stating up too 2MB and this is when there is only on average like 1 person per floor in each room at the moment. Do fill in your room and inventory inspection list because they will probably try blame you for anything that was wrong with the room before you moved in. It finished and said download speed at 128kps and upload at 120kps thats digusting. But TSR seems to load adequately nothing compared to 4mb home. We checked the exchange out and Leeds is a high tech community and a fairly advance telephone network so why the speeds cannot be better Is a mystery.

The area is quiet yet not out of it. Few pubs restauraunts mini marts pretty happy with location. Free city bus just outside park lane takes you to the main shops for big food shops and then back again which seems good. This is all just our first day, there building on the back at the moment of concept place a garden patio area so a lil construction noise in daytime hours.

Just to give you the low down guys so your not dissapointed. I dont know what the flat shared accomodation is like, but we arrived early maybe they were not totally ready I dont know, hopefully your all happy with it probably just me missing my home comforts already haha. But the UNITE adminstration seems pretty dire on updating and it all seems rather slap dash and sloppy to me but then again im a perfectionist.

Thanks for that info! I'm really disappointed to hear about the internet speed- I'm used to spending a lot of time on fast internet so that's going to be quite annoying. I hope we all enjoy our time there anyway though :smile:

NP it speeds up after being on ages, but this is all b4 you hordes arrive at the weekend, gonna get the maintanance to do our plug hole in the shower b4 then I hope. Providing the maintenance call out works, saying that doom and gloom its feeling more homely now and the longer we put things away and make the room our own Im feeling more positive about the place.

Need to get an ethernet splitter also so can have XBOX, Laptop and Desktop on at sametime since there two of us in our studio.

Any cleaning products you decide you want soon as you get here, id advise going to this lil shop just past bar and grill on the corner of the adjacent road to concept. Its a mini mart but its got bleach, surface cleaners, degreasers. Id personally just blitz the kitchen there should be a mop just whack some flash in that and your kitchen area is sveet. I mean if your moving in the lil cluster flats sharing stuff then might be an idea to wait for everyone to move in and do a spring clean together a socialiser hehe. Then you know its clean!

Thinking about it I imagine the guys going to Leeds ownership halls will have it worse so on the bright side we got it god in comparison it certainly looks older than one year now though jeeze lol.

Definately make sure u check the bin for mess at the bottom, ours was covered it loads of gunk & i had to clean it up (not a pleasant experience lol) but other than that & the cleaning its pretty cool :smile:

cant wait til everyone else moves in on saturday lol :P
