Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadDo you spreadbet them or buy real shares? I'm guessing the former?(Original post by Malay4ever)
Got in yesterday at 129.5p
For prediction purposes I used yesterday's close of 131p -
Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadI prefer shares as well - do you think AFR will go up again tomorrow?(Original post by Malay4ever)
real shares - spreadbetting is too risky for my liking although i understand it yields better rewards -
Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadKk, I look forward to what you have to say later.(Original post by Malay4ever)
not sure mate. depends on the markets. Assuming the markets are good and with the late flurry of buys there is no reason why it couldn't reach at least 138p tomorrow.

Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadNah, I learnt all i know about share trading by myself really. Find it all interesting.(Original post by arichmond64)
Good stuff malayan.
How did you learn the chart stuff? Got any good books / sites to suggest -
Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadSurely charting doesn't cme naturally. You must of read up abut it etc.(Original post by Malay4ever)
P.s. I have decided I will make an account solely for trading purposes. I will post here with it momentarily! -
Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadWell initially I began to notice trends intra-day - the most common of these being the channel.(Original post by arichmond64)

Charting itself does come naturally to me, although you have to know the patterns as they are generic and will never look perfect.
Here's a pretty good starting position

arichmond - Most of my charting now is automatic as in patterns are triggered in my brain, but this link will get you started.

Re: The Official Stocks and Shares Thread
My Proposal for tomorrow:
I felt like taking a risk today so went with TCG. (probably will be highly volatile tomorrow)
Assume you had purchased £10,000 worth of TCG today at 23.25p.
I reckon tomorrow it should rise at least 7.52% to 25p with scope for a larger rise.
Therefore you would net a profit of circa £750
See how this one turns out. Been dire coming into this year, but reckon that its results for tomorrow will be unexpectedly good and will propel it forward. -
Re: The Official Stocks and Shares Thread
Ok, some REAL traders answer the next question, not the ones to whom 'it comes naturally' - WTF is going on with this company? Was 0.8p a share yesterday close time? http://www.google.co.uk/finance?cid=703069

Re: The Official Stocks and Shares ThreadIt didn't close at 0.8p/share, it closed at 157p/share.(Original post by Ghostface)
