how do i get student discount on laptop?

i've been reading a couple threads and seen quite a few people talking about getting a student discount on laptops... may i ask how exactly do i get these discounts as well as how much % off do i get?

dell do discount codes, usually 5% off. you can usually get these by using google, or signing up to their email newsletters.

apple do discounts, i think up to 14% on the higher educational store. if you go instore, take a ucas confirmation letter, or you can get it online by getting a direct link the HE store

or phone up! you can only do it online if your connected to your uni's network. i personally find the people working in my local apple shop to be useless, so try not to deal with them

I shall wait until i am at university tbh :smile:

Although the keynote is an ipod release according to many sites. A new macbook came out in june so they wont be bringing out a new one yet.
But if you buy before the 8th you can get a £15 iPod Touch.

after the 8th with release of new line of ipods hopefully they will still have the buy a mac and recieve an ipod rebate offer still on

New ipods yes, offer still on no.

They do the offer to clear their stock of old ipods for when the new ones are released :smile:
I've heard rumours of a new mac tablet, could shift prices maybe.

mine doesnt get delivered until after the new stuff will be released.
so i can always return mine, get a refund and re-order.
