taking the ILEX route in order to qualify?
I want to know what everyone thinks about the Ilex route in order o qualify as a solicitor as opposed to the traditional route, especially in todays climate where firms have made large scale redundancies. I'm in my final year doing law but I dont think I can afford to do the LPC, I've heard that the good thing about the ILEX route is that although it appears to be lengthy, you will be earning and learning at the same time, and then I can do the LPC part time and I will be exempt from the training contract, but Will it be difficult to progress and get a job as a solicitor?, and How do I approach firms, should i just send them my CV and cover letter asking them whether they have any trainee legal executive opportunities
