RBS and HSBC have not opened yet. Most of the others have opened applications for APAC and/or EMEA locations.

BarCap and UBS tend to start recruiting early so I'd get those out of the way first. People had offers from them at the end of september last year.

Anyone tried Nomura yet? For markets internships all it has is Spring Analyst Intern but the description sounds a lot like a summer one (working on real projects etc.)

Would be strange to open spring apps before summer apps.

- CS haven't got back to Spring weekers yet. Btw, their requirements for trading are quite weird this year: quantitative background + a second european language ??!!!
- Nomura seem to have two schemes this year. A Spring internship (not a week but a long internship) and a Summer internship. I think the Spring internship is for people in those countries that have exams in the summer (e.g Switzerland).
The Global Markets SUMMER isnt open yet.

No - that's what the competency Qs are for.

Just did the BoA/ML PSL numerical. If they ask you to complete the second part of the app straight after, does it mean you've definitely passed? I thought so, but it was so damn instant and I ran out of time (last few questions probably wrong with the last 2 guessed!).

People seem to think this is the case. Maybe they have a lowish cut off point like 12/20...

Some you have to give your exam marks for.

But regardless, if putting a 1st down rather than 2:1 is going to make a big difference to your application then I'd suggest you need to beef up your ECs.

Yeah I reckon that will be the case- well, I hope it is anyway- I hate doing the competency questions and if I have to do them in vain I'll be a pissed off!
