It gets noticed quite quickly I've always found. Do I really need to report it?
It's always a good idea just to put it through the system if the mod happens to go offline at that point or is doing other things, and isn't around literally then to lock it. A backup, in other words. The software, in reality, doesn't need anything like a 10k lock point and can do much more before it starts getting odd, but it's generally a good idea to lock it immediately for spam's sake.
You quite often get some berks who think they can run up the count by posting rubbish at the end or start of new soc threads, so quick locks help the mod control the situation.

Ah right, seeing as Ascient seems to be offline right now, how do I report the thread to be locked?
Nah, I've reported it myself. Might take a while. ****** time to go offline to be frank - we've always had trouble with thread transitions. I used to keep a new thread the night before in the bin and change the OP when I moved it, but it was the best of a bunch of rough options.
I'll have a scoot around to see if I can get it done quicker.
If Drogba buggered off, I wouldn't mind too much. To see a winners medal hanging around his neck, yeah, not a particularly appealing image really. There's a part of me that feels a bit sorry for Terry, having slipped up and cocked up so terribly in Moscow. He must be haunted by that moment everyday.
Moved the conversation to here now.
I don't feel sorry for Terry at all tbh. Lampard I think deserves a CL medal though. For me, he's the best out of the Rooney/Gerrard/Ferdinand/Terry/Cole bunch.

Lamps, off-field, has had a pretty rough couple of years (idiot radio person, split with gf/fiance, access difficulties to child/ren, mother dying), on-field - can't get much more painful than missing out on a CL win through a shoot-out lottery - having said this, some ****ing lottery eh when England lose such a high proportion of their penalty shoot-outs, hardly 50:50 intit?
I'm posting so that I get this thread in my watched threads bit of the home page, yes it was far too easy to click watch this thread at the top of the page
Right, we now have a new thread. Not exactly Arsenal, but out of interest is anyone staying up to watch Brazil v Argentina tonight? WHW?
