Michael Shields was never given the chance of a fair trial and thus the verdict reached at that trial should be ignored. A number of his basic human rights when detained were ignored, such as being handcuffed to a radiator where people were being called forward to identify him and being the only englishmen in a white t-shirt at the ID parade.
