Yeah, Newcastle and Durham medical schools work in partnership. You can study either at Newcastle or Durham for the first two years, and after that both lots of students are integrated for Phase II, which is when things get more clinical

Heh, I'm starting to feel as though I should just leave my 4th choice up to vote :P
although, I dont want to take the BMAT, so UCL and cambridge are out, and I dont have 5A*s<, so that knocks a few more out ..
Obviously, it wont go for a vote, its my choice

I quoted you twice. Newcastle was originally set up as a medical college, joined Durham, then left Durham to form Newcastle Uni med school. Durham want the med school back, but Newcastle won't let them have it!

Numbers of medical students are limited, so unless the NHS needs a large number of extra doctors (not likely in the current climate), no.
EDIT: the NHS
"can afford" rather than "needs"

Does Lancaster have a medical school? I thought Liverpool taught some of their course at Lancaster, but they don't have a separate medical school?
UCL would never be closed. (Insert your preferred medical school) on the other hand......

what medical schools require 5 A*s???? i know birmingham require like 7/8,
but ithought everywhere else was more relaxed?
or are you going on the, "our average intake of students have 5A*s" sort of thing?
this definitely applies to me as i have 1A* :|

Yes, they are a separate MS
I would insert Birmingham
, but I think the actual MS is good, its their policy that sucks

Cambridge, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh ?
Dont worry, I'm in the same boat! 1 A* does still go quite far though!
